Where Is The Next Ronald Reagan?

As I sit here wondering how we got to where we are right now, concerned about where we are heading, I am constantly forced to wonder: where is the next great conservative leader?  Who is it that we will put up in 2012 that will be strong enough to overcome the overwhelming odds that any Republican must endure in a country where the media is so biased that it is amazing that any Republican ever wins anything?  Who can be strong enough to turn the tsunami-like wave of socialism that is quickly consuming our country?  Who is it that is so clean that the platoons of lawyers and journalists that will be unleashed to dig up dirt will come back empty handed?  Who is that conservative man or woman who can think on their feet, communicate like a pro, and debate like a scholar?

I have to say that, sadly, I dont think we know.  Will it be one of the current or former governors like Romney, Jindal, Sanford, Jeb Bush, Pawlenty, Huckabee,  or Palin?  I think Palin is a good candidate but she has been damaged beyond repair by the liberal media.  Does David Petraeus have what it takes to be on the national stage?  Michael Steele is a good guy with good conservative values but I havent seen the fire from him that it will take to energize this party.  Newt is brilliant and I would vote for him tomorrow but he will be portrayed as the “old Republican guard”.  We need one of the fresh faces to stand up and start taking charge like he owns the place.

And it better start happening soon…..

  • Once again KF you prove your ignorance. The KKK was founded by prominent Democrats in the south after the Civil War. In fact I’m quite sure that at least one current prominent Democratic Senator was a member.

  • kf

Why don’t you discuss it at your next Klan meeting and get back to me.

  • Ok I’m sure you too could go back and forth all day with this but we’ll cut the name calling off there.

  • Al

See, that’s the problems with you liberals KF, you are inherently stupid. What I said was “your boy”. Which implies your guy, your buddy, the one you back. This would be quite different than what you imply. But being a typical ignorant liberal with nothing of significance to say, you refer to someone as a racist when they don’t agree with your views.

  • kf

Um…….. you Al, the one who called our President “boy”.

  • Al

Wow look who’s the racist now.

  • kf

What do you mean by “boy”?

  • Al

A dead Reagan would be better than your boy

  • kf

Wht don’t you chumps dig up Reagan and run him?

i voted for ron paul in the primary this year, and the lesser of 2 evils in mccain. if paul can get some serious backing, he might have a chance,,,(nah) whoever it is, will have to take the black vote back.. i’m not prejudice, but i really think he won because of color. (and the media wasn’t quite ready for a witch in office)

Newt might be the choice. Though he may not be a strict conservative, he articulates a good well thought out message. He may have problems with his move that helped shut down government but that would be a blessing now.

I think it will end up being someone who is not currently on any radar screens, but there will be someone. Or we’re all doomed
