We Will Have Our Revenge:

Laws enacted through reconciliation will be repealed by reconciliation.

Barack Obama:

I've now been in 57 states -- I think one left to go.

For the first time since the Great Depression, Americans took more aid from the government than they paid in taxes.

Bammy Mays, the Infomercial Guy.

ObamaShamWowThe King of Infomercials passed away this week. And in the spirit of never letting a good crisis go to waste, who better to replace him than the Infomercial Guy-in-Chief.

First business of the week was an ABC Primetime infomercial on health care. Like most infomercials, viewers watched for a second or two, saw the product was snake oil, and skipped to the next channel.

Next up for Bammy Mays was a hard sale for those squiggly light bulbs. This infomercial came only a couple of days after Congress performed a colonoscopy on America with its Global Warming Act. If we really want reduce our carbon footprints we should consider going back to the days of candles. We’d save that entire seven percent of energy we use on lighting our homes and businesses. Of course those “how many Joe Bidens does it take to screw in a light bulb ” jokes would lose some of their meaning.

Some of the upcoming infomercials will probably be about Government Motors, Government Bank and Trust and a few more on Government Health Care.

Billy Mays made a career of selling products that usually didn’t work, with grandiose claims. And so does Bammy Mays. The difference is the cost of Billy’s products were $9.99 plus shipping, and we didn’t have to buy them. Bammy’s are going to be trillions and we have no choice.

Iraqis Celebrate. No Thanks to Bamster.

obamasnobWhat will become of Iraq in years to follow is anyone’s guess. But as I watched the smug look on King Obama’s face, while he spoke about troop withdrawal from that country something bothered me.

I recalled President Bush saying “as Iraqis stand up, we will stand down.” Today we stood down. And there was our pompous, arrogant Pacifist-in-Chief taking credit as though this was his plan all along. Missing was the fact that the Iraqi people would still be living under a brutal dictatorship if Obama had things  his way.

Make no mistake, the reason Iraqi citizens are treating this day as a cause for celebration has absolutely NOTHING to do with Barrack Hussein Obama, and everything to do with George W Bush.

As if Congress wasn’t bad enough

Its Official!  Another moron is headed to Washington DC, as Al Franken is declared the winner in the Minnesota Senate race. It amazes me that Minnesota can give us the intelligent and well spoken Michele Bachman on one hand.

And at the same time they can also give us this giant doooooooshbag!

More Broken Campaign Promises

During the campaign, Obama promised over and over that he, under no circumstances, would raise the taxes of anyone making less than $250k per year.  A lot of normally clear thinking people I know actually listened to those statements at the time and argued with me when I guaranteed that he would raise their taxes if elected.  Now, only five months into office he has said that he would be open to breaking this promise, one of the most publicized and important promises he made during the campaign.  He now says that he is willing to tax employer-provided health care benefits in order to help pay for his disastrous Socialized Health Care scheme.   Remember how Obama spent millions of dollars in television advertising to destroy John McCain when he raised a similar idea regarding health care benefits?  Well those ads were very effective particularly when combined with the pledge of no tax increases on the ”middle class”.

Are people starting to catch on yet?  I think (hope) they are.

So we can add this one to the long and growing list of broken campaign promises.  Maybe we should make this a game.  Might be fun.  Five points for every broken campaign promise that you can name.  I’ll get us started:

1) no lobbyists in the administration;  2) 5 day “Sunlight” period before the passing of any bill to allow Americans the opportunity to read the bill and comment on the White House website; 3) no income tax for seniors making less than $50k; 4) $3k tax credit for companies for each job created;

That’s 20 easy points.  I’m sure some of our readers can easily beat that.

About that Meddling…

comrrade

What makes it ok for the United States to meddle in Honduras but not ok to meddle in Iran? For almost two weeks the great Pontificator-in-Chief said nothing while Iranians, ruled by a maniacal leader protested a rigged election. Many were killed or injured in what may still prove to be a pivotal move toward a working form of democracy. Remember, the One claimed we should not interfere with the “sovereign government of Iran.” Then one day he spoke like the leader of the free world and became “deeply concerned.”

Meanwhile in Honduras the military staged a coup to get rid of President Manuel Zelaya, a close ally of Hugo Chavez. And the first words out of the One’s hypocritical mouth were a call for restoration of democratic order. The State Department said it wouldn’t recognize any other leader but Zelaya.

Zelaya violated his country’s constitution. Like Chavez he repealed term limits on the presidency.  The Honduras Supreme Court ruled that Zelaya’s move was illegal, so the military refused to distribute the ballots. Zelaya then fired the head of the military. Hence the coup.

This is further proof that the One will always side with Marxists, Socialists and despots. This president is setting himself up to be the worst president in the history of our nation. The advance of freedom around the world will come to a screeching halt with this pathetic man in the Oval Office. The trail of destruction he will leave in his path might stand a chance of being slowed down in 2010. Let’s hope by then it isn’t too late.

WHAT IS HAPPENING?

This is a guest post from Vin B.

Americans,

What has happened is that a group of people have come together for various purposes, and taken control of the American government. An event like this does not happen overnight.  It requires years of planning and successes at many stages.

While this process of forced collectivism has been part of political thought for over 100 years, since approximately 1960 this group has slowly and systematically taken control of the key control points of our country.  The coordination among them over these years has been remarkable.

We are now at the tipping point in our country’s history where America will either take a turn in culture that will most probably shock us at best, or where the American principle prevails. At this point it seems that the probability favors the former.  Therefore, I’m seeking one thing, which is an open and non-hysterical conversation about what we will do when our country goes over the cliff.  What is plan A, B and C?  We definitely should not simply “go down” mindlessly.  Let’s at least know ahead of time what our choice of action is so that we make the best of whatever we decide.

Recently, many States have begun passing “10th Amendment” bills which is a wonderful approach since it is very principled and supported by the founding documents.  They have made sensible arguments about control of trade within a State.  Some have gone so far as to discuss the issue of secession openly, indicating that Lincoln’s actions did not decide the issue because, “might does not make right”.  The law must either be obeyed or changed through the process designed, with open discussion.

And this is the key to current events, ‘that the law must be either obeyed or changed via the legal procedure’.  If we look at what has actually happened to date, we see that this group’s government has begun to ignore law and Constitution, replacing them with their own designs.  Did we not see the president intervene in the Chrysler bankruptcy and order that contracts with creditors be voided?  Did we not see that GM dealers who had contributed to Republican interests were systematically fired at higher levels than others who did not.

Americans, did we not see the president nominate a judge to the Supreme Court who will judge according to how she feels about the particular situation rather than the written law?  Where is “equal protection under the law”?  These are the same rights of which Dr. King spoke and ultimately died.  And now we watch as our medical system comes under their control.  One can only imagine standing before Judge Sotomayor arguing ones case for medical treatment when the government has already decided that you are dispensable.  I tend to doubt that her “empathy” will include the plight of Republicans in need of medicine, or any men for that matter.

We understand that the media will not sponsor the discussion that I seek, so therefore this internet is the only option.  We need to hear from people across the 50 States as to how they perceive the “battle” within their State.  Will your State ultimately protect you by by interposing itself between you and the feds, or will it serve you up?  If the latter, what will your actions be?  Will you move to a more protective State or stand and “fight” within your own?  How will you “fight”?  How much will you take before you consider the battle lost?  Then what?

These issues must be discussed not only to organize ourselves to also to demonstrate to the feds that we’re serious and the Constitution must prevail.  Let’s roll.

One Gun Per Month? Then One Anchor Baby Per Month.

headupassps11

The Peoples Republic of New Jersey moved one step closer to its ultimate goal of banning handguns. The New Jersey State Senate voted 21 to 15 to pass a bill that will arbitrarily ration the sale of handguns to one per month.

You might ask what the big deal is about being able to buy just one gun per month. After all, how many guns does a person need? The answer to that is as many as he damn well pleases. What may start off innocently by monthly rationing will lead to quarterly rationing and so on. This bill has nothing to do with stopping crime. It has everything to do with government control of individuals.

Why not set limits on other Constitutional rights. I’d start with the Fourteenth Amendment. I want that one enforced only on February 29th. From now on all anchor babies have no right to American citizenship except on leap years. The Eighth Amendment is also overrated. That cruel and unusual punishment stuff? That’s got to go. And it can start with rapists and pedophiles. One day per month they will be granted that Constitutional right. The rest of the month we will allow victim’s families to administer justice as they deem fit.

Twenty-one Democrat craps in New Jersey have stepped on our right to bear arms. The decision will probably work it’s way up to the Supreme Court. Let’s hope the court strictly adheres to the Framer’s original intent of the law and not some foreign country precedent.

Obama Man Can

Sen. Herman Munster’s a Real Funny Guy

funny-political-4John Kerry is a schmuck. There’s just something about Kerry that makes me believe that even his mother thought he was a schmuck.

Yesterday at a meeting with business and civic leaders in Boston Senator Kerry was discussing South Carolina Governor Sanford’s disappearance. Then for some reason he came out with this comment: “Too bad,’’ Kerry said, “if a governor had to go missing it couldn’t have been the governor of Alaska. You know, Sarah Palin.’’ Of course his liberal audience thought that was a hoot.

What would make this feminine gigolo come out with a statement like that? Did Palin ask him to tidy up the cabin while she was out hunting? I’ll bet there are a few swift boat sailors wishing Mr. Kerry would have gone missing on one of his fictitious swift boat trips into Cambodia. My suggestion to Kerry is that he should try to avoid comedy. It really doesn’t work for him.

Don’t Cry for Me South Carolina…

marilyn-monroe-jfk-mistressJimma Carter had lust in his pants, err his heart. JFK thought the White House was the whore house. Bill Clinton got his Lewinskys. There was Client Love Potion Number 9. And Barney Frank turned his penthouse suite into a season of Queer Eye For The Fat Slobbering Guy. Now the Palmetto State Governor Mark Sanford returns from his magical mystery tour in Argentina where he cried with his Evita.

Most politicians are arrogant twits with immense egos. Sanford’s narcissistic self played into that same category. I won’t get into the moral character issue, maybe because he’s shown himself to have none. But he is the Governor of State of South Carolina. With that job comes certain responsibilities. His running off to bump uglies with some Argentinian chic and not tell any one where he was going was a dereliction of his duties.

Leaving the country and keeping it a secret, while you are supposed to be running a state just doesn’t cut it. Even Jim McGreevey had the decency to stay in state when he was looking for love at Jersey Turnpike truck stops.

It’s time to for Sanford to call it quits . He’s done his mea culpas. Now he has to move on.
