What makes it ok for the United States to meddle in Honduras but not ok to meddle in Iran? For almost two weeks the great Pontificator-in-Chief said nothing while Iranians, ruled by a maniacal leader protested a rigged election. Many were killed or injured in what may still prove to be a pivotal move toward a working form of democracy. Remember, the One claimed we should not interfere with the “sovereign government of Iran.” Then one day he spoke like the leader of the free world and became “deeply concerned.”
Meanwhile in Honduras the military staged a coup to get rid of President Manuel Zelaya, a close ally of Hugo Chavez. And the first words out of the One’s hypocritical mouth were a call for restoration of democratic order. The State Department said it wouldn’t recognize any other leader but Zelaya.
Zelaya violated his country’s constitution. Like Chavez he repealed term limits on the presidency. The Honduras Supreme Court ruled that Zelaya’s move was illegal, so the military refused to distribute the ballots. Zelaya then fired the head of the military. Hence the coup.
This is further proof that the One will always side with Marxists, Socialists and despots. This president is setting himself up to be the worst president in the history of our nation. The advance of freedom around the world will come to a screeching halt with this pathetic man in the Oval Office. The trail of destruction he will leave in his path might stand a chance of being slowed down in 2010. Let’s hope by then it isn’t too late.

Yes goutboy, this is true.
The coup was by the president against the constitution. The army was carrying out orders from the Supreme Court in accordance to the constitution. Don’t give these lefties anything. They will take the improper rhetoric and use it against this just cause.
Zelaya ran on a “law and order” platform to boot. Today, he changed his tune saying he didn’t overturn term limits – it was only a public opinion poll on term limits.
Never met a dictator he didnt like.
