When someone threatens to harm should you take him at his word and view the treat seriously? Liberals seems to favor a “let’s wait and see” approach. Most on the left can’t come to grips with the concept of a borderless war, where you aggressively seek out threats before they develop and remove them. Instead they hold to their childish view that it is better to wait until disaster strikes and then treat it as a law enforcement matter. The thought of fighting a war is an alien concept to most leftist thinkers. Unless they are campaigning or it’s a war on poverty or some other un-winnable social program.
For eight years we listened to libs whine about the good war versus the bad war, as if they cared whether or not we win either. The reality is it’s the same war. Whether we fight in Afghanistan, Somalia, Iraq, Yemen or any other country harboring terrorists makes no difference. The nation building aspects employed in Iraq are debatable. But killing enemies who are plotting your death and destruction is a no brainer. To make claims that these people don’t have the resources to carry out the threat is dangerous thinking. Who would have thought 19 Muslim extremists could have carried out their deadly operation prior to 9/11? And to believe we can somehow enlighten apocalyptic zealots using either logic or using carrots instead of sticks ignores every historical conflict with this enemy. The object of our war with radical Islam should be to seek out large numbers of them and kill them, not change them. Sounds harsh? Too bad. It’s reality.
With the economy in the tank, people losing jobs, and a host of other rotten things in the foreground it’s easy to forget the other threat that isn’t going away. Let’s not lose sight of this. We’ve been lucky for a while.
Recovery Summer is coming to an end with some more dismal results. USA Today is reporting that a record one in six Americans now takes some form of government aid. That’s up at least 17% since the recession began in December 2007. Really makes you look forward to Recovery Autumn.
Common sense would tell the average person that the Obama regimes policies are taking this country in the wrong direction. But we’ll just continue to listen to Sheriff Hair Plugs tell us how well things are going. What planet are these guys from? Here’s something else you may want to keep in mind, Welfare agencies are signing up thousands of new voters for the next election. Care to guess how these moochers will vote?
This ought to ruffle a few feathers. The EPA is considering banning lead ammunition, due to its alleged harmful effect on the environment. So now the Obama regime feels it’s time to go after those ignorant common folk clinging to their guns? If you thought health care was a fight what do you think the potential is here? These jackasses can’t seem to stay out of any aspect of your life.
Here are some more unintended consequences of the of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. It appears the liberal morons who rammed the bill through never considered the devastating fallout in jobs that would accompany ObamaCare. Insurance agents, insurance brokers and small insurance companies are all on the hot seat now. All these private sector jobs will be shifted over to some government sloth bureaucrat who will be there to service your needs. Good luck.
The People’s Republic of Maryland is honoring Dear Leader with an elementary school in his name. The school’s curriculum will help teach children how to lie, make false promises and under-deliver. Students will take courses that concentrate on great minds like Karl Marx, Che Guevara, Fidel Castro, Joseph Stalin and William Ayers. Grade scores will be distributed evenly so that no student’s self esteem is injured.
Advance courses will include teleprompter use, vacationing and flag burning.
This is precious. In the summer of 2008, President Obama praised the “vastly superior” infrastructure of China.
A 60-mile-long traffic jam on a major Beijing highway’s entered day nine, with stranded drivers taking to playing chess on their cars as local vendors organize roadside shops like in a Cortázar short story. What’s causing this potentially month-long jam?
In short, increased traffic on the highway mixed with maintenance and construction. Britain’s Sky News reported the snarls have been commonplace since May as a result of a spike in the number of trucks using the roads, with the daily peak reaching about 17,000.
In this specific case, cars and trucks have been piling up since August 14 on the National Expressway 100, which is also known as the G110, the major route from Beijing to Zhangjiakou.
Officials expect the congestion to continue until workers complete construction projects on September 13, the report said. Good luck to all sitting in standstill!
This is the face of the Left. I seriously doubt that the loud and obnoxious liberal douchebag knows anything about the US Constitution. Note how he is a very tough guy when it comes to cursing out an 82 year old man. Let’s see what happens when he tries the same tactics with the construction guys who refuse to build the mosque. I predict his nose gets pushed into his face.
